By default, your web browser stores cookies and other information about sites you visit. Clearing your browser cache is often the easiest way to fix connection issues with library resources.
To clear your cache in Microsoft Edge (2020 release and later):
- Navigate to the three dots in the upper right of the screen.
- Choose History.
- In the top of the History pane, click the trash can icon to "delete browsing data."
- You will be prompted to select what to delete, and from what time period. If you are having trouble with library databases we recommend the Time range of All Time.
- Check the options for Browsing history, Cookies and site data, and Cached images and files.
- Click Clear now.
- Close and reopen Edge.
Set Edge to automatically clear some cache items when it closes
This setting can help prevent caching errors by tidying up each time you exit Edge.
- Click the Menu (three dots) in the upper right.
- Choose Settings
- Under Privacy, search, and services, select Clear Browsing Data.
- Select Choose what to clear every time you close the browser.
- You may choose to delete all or select only Browsing history, Cookies and other site data, and Cached images and files.
